xkcd: Numerical Sex Positions

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

I’ve quit posting the new xkcd comics, because I figure you probably all subscibe to them already. But, I couldn’t resist this one:

We didn't even get to the continued fractions!

And the alt text… “We didn’t even get to the continued fractions!”

I figured I needed a break from the politics…

Journal 5

Title: Pick you up at eight?’ ‘If you’ll have a new car by then.’

xkcd: Blogger Edition

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

I always figured the word \'blog\' would sound *less* silly as the years went by.

Alt: I always figured the word ‘blog’ would sound *less* silly as the years went by.

I wonder if there’s a list out there dedicated just to the new words that have spawned as a result of the culture of the interwebs? Think one day we’ll start actually saying “LOL” when we’re talking about laughing?

xkcd: Cultural Traditions

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

Alt: ‘You will have hot, steamy, sweaty sex … IN BED!’

I’m thinking I may have to go for some Chinese tonight.

XKCD: Hybrid Edition

Monday, May 5th, 2008

Alt: Their biggest mistake was bringing Rachael Ray and Emeril to tour the lab and sign off on the project. That’s when Spielberg caught wind of it.

That’s kind of what goes through my mind when people ask me whether I think Hillary could be Barack’s VP.

Although maybe it

Although maybe it’s just a phase, like freshman year of college when I realized I could just buy frosting in a can.

This reminds me of the day I realized that if a grilled cheese sandwich is better with 2 slices of processed cheese food, how much better it would be if I used 3!

Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve posted an XKCD, but I seem to be caught up on a lot of things, giving me that 30 seconds I need to post these as they come out.

Alt: I’d press on them to try to unstick them, but I can’t reach. Can we try cycling day and night really fast?

Waking up in the morning is always a shock, but to wake up to dead pixels!

xkcd: Unraveling Technology

Monday, March 10th, 2008

Alt: I would take ‘kibibyte’ more seriously if it didn’t sound so much like ‘Kibbles N Bits’.

I think this might have been the chart they used that one time when I tried to take classes from a “tech school” but quit after discovering that I knew more about JavaScript than the “teacher” (even though all I knew at the time was that there was supposed to be a difference between Java and JavaScript), among other things.

xkcd: RIP Gary Gygax

Friday, March 7th, 2008

Alt: RIP, Gary.

xkcd: Your Utah Legislature Edition

Friday, March 7th, 2008

I think this captures the very heart of the Utah Legislature:

Alt: I never understood why someone would expect me to accept their rules right after they’d punched me. I’m sure it’s all very symbolic or something.

You can just make up the rules as you go along, right?
